The analysis of social networks through graph theory has been used recently in the field of preventive veterinary medicine as a tool to study the variations in the interaction of animals of different species, and the possible impact of this on the transmission of diseases. This work aimed to establish the magnitude and direction, in time and space, of the entry and exit of cattle by age group, in the municipality of
Puerto López in the year 2019, characterizing the flow of mobility through the use of graphs made with the Pajek® software. The highest mobilization of cattle in all age groups occurred in the rainy season with 64% of the total. The highest admission and discharge, by age group, was females> 3 years with 26% (33,696) and 27% (22,952) respectively. The mobility of males from the lift was greater by 35.6% compared to the females from the lift; and the movements of adult females were 68.7% greater than that of adult males. The natural region with the highest mobilizations was the Orinoquia with 99%. The month of July was the month with the greatest mobility of entry and exit (11%). Mobility from farm to farm was the most
important with 52%. 90.9% of the mobilization of entry and exit was concentrated in three departments (Meta, Casanare and Vichada), Puerto López presented important movements of cattle from farm to farm with 118 municipalities in the first semester and 114 in the second; while from farm to fair, 22 municipalities were involved in the first semester and 31 in the second and from fair to premises in the
first semester 27 municipalities and in the second 30, converting said number of municipalities into a risk of dissemination of control diseases official, such as vesicular (New Jersey, Indiana and E. Indiana), tuberculosis and brucellosis, of which the main outbreaks for the year 2,019 were in departments such as Antioquia and Cundinamarca that had significant income of cattle to Puerto López.
