Integración Curricular, un camino para el proceso de formación en el área de la salud, una perspectiva desde la Medicina Veterinaria

dc.description.abstractLa integración curricular (IC) es un modelo de desarrollo curricular de amplio uso en propuestas de tipo crítico, que se enfocan en el aprendizaje, y por lo tanto, plantean propuestas con énfasis en el estudiante, buscando que logre comprensiones significativas. La IC es una alternativa para dar respuesta a estas necesidades, y para esto establece los elementos a integrar y las estrategias didácticas para lograrlo, de acuerdo con el perfil de egreso. Este artículo caracteriza el uso actual de la IC en programas profesionales del área de la salud, los elementos relevantes de dichas experiencias e identifica las estrategias didácticas de mayor uso en su implementación, mediante una consulta bibliográfica en bases de datos científicas (PubMed, ScienceDirect, ClinicalKey, ERIC y Scielo) y el análisis de los niveles de investigación correspondientes al tema, tanto en la formación en Medicina Veterinaria como en otros programas de salud. Los resultados evidencian la relevancia de enfoques como “One Health” y Educación Interprofesional (EIP), para que un currículo con IC, contribuya a dar respuesta a los problemas de salud derivados de la interacción Humano - Animal - Medioambiente.spa
dc.description.abstractCurriculum integration (CI) is a development model used in critical-type proposals, which focus on learning, and therefore, provide proposals with an emphasis on the student, seeking to achieve significant learning. The CI is an alternative to respond to these needs, and for this it establishes the elements to integrate and the didactic strategies to achieve it, according to the graduation profile. This article characterizes the current use of CI in professional programs in the health area, the relevant elements of said experiences, and identifies the most widely used didactic strategies in its implementation, through a bibliographical consultation in scientific databases (PubMed, ScienceDirect, ClinicalKey, ERIC and Scielo) and the analysis of the levels of research corresponding to the subject, both in training in Veterinary Medicine and in other health programs. The results show the relevance of approaches such as "One Health" and Interprofessional Education (IPE), so that a curriculum with IC contributes to responding to health problems derived from Human - Animal - Environment interaction.eng
