El objetivo de investigación consisteen identificar las manifestaciones de género de docentes y estudiantes deesta institución, para abordar el conocimiento de cómo se comunicanexpresiones que demuestran la existencia de imaginarios socialesrelacionados con los roles de mujeres y hombres. En lo metodológico seoptó por el enfoque cualitativo de tipo etnográfico, aplicando técnicas deobservación directa, recolección de información a través de entrevistassemiestructuradas y trabajo de campo con grupos focales; sistematización dela información a través de la categorización y subcategorización de los datosy su examen con la metodología de análisis de contenido. Los resultados dela investigación muestran que existen roles de género mediante los cualeslos miembros de esta colectividad perciben la condición de mujer como defragilidad y la del hombre como de poder. Se concluye que en este escenario semantienen las condiciones de inequidad que, por tradiciones nutridas, desdeexpresiones culturales étnicas, privilegian los roles de lo masculino sobrelofemenino. The results of the research show that there are gender roles through which themembersof this community perceive the condition of women as fragility and that of men as power.
