El texto está estructurado en tres grandes unidades temáticas: en la primera se aborda la transformada de Laplace enfocada a la solución de problemas de valor inicial, en la segunda se presentan los elementos de cálculo en variable compleja y en la última se trabajan los tópicos básicos del análisis de Fourier. La forma como está estructurado el texto y la manera como son presentados los diferentes temas, corresponden a la secuencia lógica de construcción de los mismos desde el punto de vista matemático y estuvieron especialmente orientados por la experiencia docente de las autoras con los estudiantes de la asignatura de Matemáticas Especiales, en los programas de Ingeniería Electrónica e Ingeniería de Sistemas, de la Facultad de Ciencias Básicas e Ingeniería de la Universidad de los Llanos.This text is conceived and designed as support material for the development of a Special Mathematics course, the last one in the traditional curricular structure of the Mathematics area in Engineering programs. The text is structured in three large thematic units: the first one deals with the Laplace transform focused on the solution of initial value problems, the second one presents the elements of complex variable calculus and the last one deals with the basic topics of Fourier analysis.
