dc.description.abstractEl siguiente documento realiza un análisis documental sobre los discursos mediáticos de identidad que durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX pusieron a México en la escena mundial, principalmente por el hecho de ser elegidos como sede de los Juegos Olímpicos de 1968 y la Copa Mundial de Fútbol en 1970. En esta época, caracterizada por múltiples acontecimientos sociales que agitaron las entrañas de la nación, hubo una transición histórica y un replanteamiento de lo significaba lo mexicano ante el mundo. El documento pretende poner sobre la mesa las condiciones históricas y sociales por las que pasaba el país latino en el momento de ser elegido como sede de estos dos macro-eventos y las transformaciones que hubo en sus discursos identitarios una vez se llevaron a cabo estos.spa
